CREATOVATION

‘The essence of critical thinking is suspended judgement; the essence of this suspense is inquiry to determine the nature of the problem before proceeding.’

 John Dewy

Critical Thinking is an invaluable skill that allows us to change our minds when we recognise and correct false beliefs. These false beliefs can stifle creativity, hinder innovation, and lead to poor decision-making in both our professional and personal lives. Leadership in the 21st century demands agile and innovative thinkers who can engage objectively, challenge assumptions, and apply rational logic to form well-founded ideas and opinions. This workshop on Critical Thinking will equip participants at all levels of the organisation with essential skills to enhance decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration. By training and strengthening critical thinking, participants will learn to navigate challenges, foster innovation, and embed strategic decision-making practices across their roles, from frontline staff to leadership.

Understand the RED Model: Participants will learn to apply the RED Model to enhance their critical thinking skills in everyday decision-making.

Apply the Socratic Method: Attendees will be able to use the Socratic Method to ask probing questions that challenge assumptions and uncover deeper insights in discussions and problem-solving.

Enhance Decision-Making: Participants will develop the ability to make more informed and objective decisions by systematically evaluating information and considering multiple perspectives.

Strengthen Problem-Solving Skills: Participants will learn to apply critical thinking techniques to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and develop well-reasoned solutions.

Foster a Culture of Inquiry: Learners will be equipped to promote a culture of inquiry within their organisation, encouraging colleagues to ask thoughtful questions and engage in metacognition and reflective discussions.
